Swatch samples/Goldbrick fabric/Misan Fabrics and Rolls and Rems

At this stage of development I wanted to visit shepherds bush, I knew that the area had a lot of fabric shops with a variety to pick from. The fabrics I was particularly interested in was denim, padded mesh and light cotton, taking a look through various shops I picked out  many swatches to work from ,this was to decide whether I would want to work with any in particular. At first I didn't just want to narrow down my colour choices, I wanted to keep an open mind to pastel colours overall, knowing that I've been experimenting throughout my concept with colours.

One alternative material I felt would work well in my final was neoprene, at first I thought it would be easy to find the right thickness but due to the season, there was only a small selection which wasn't what I was looking for.I manage to find one shop called Goldbrick fabric shop which sold the thickness I was looking for, but the colour wasn't what I was looking for, so I decided to just take a swatch cut out. Knowing that I couldn't get neoprene it put me in a thought of using the padded mesh as a fabric to replace it, they weren't so far apart in terms of quality and mass which I needed.I encountered mesh that could fit inbetween the denim material to give the material more volume of thickness as a whole.
The denim fabrics I was finding around shepherds bush, made me realise how many types of tones and texture I could use throughout my final outcomes.Manipulation was a crucial highlight I wanted to execute. The denim fabrics were dominantly going to compliment each other, so I thought it would be a good idea to include other tones of blues which wasn't so off from each other. The light cottons of blues was what I thought would fit well working with the denims overall. I want to incorporate reconstructions of denims I had scrapped at home which I felt would fit well towards the textures I was using.
